Quote comparison sheet
Quotes for the same windows can look wildly different until you put them side by side. Ask each fitter the 12 questions to ask a blind fitter, then note the answers here — one block per quote.
- Give every fitter the same spec: same windows, same blind types, same fit.
- Compare the total fitted price, not per-blind or hourly headline rates.
- Only tick an item once it’s on the quote or in writing.
- Not sure what a fair price looks like? The cost guide explains the three pricing models.
Nothing you type here is sent anywhere or saved. Print the page or copy your notes down before you close it.

Reading the sheet
- The cheapest total isn’t automatically the best. A slightly dearer quote with the price fixed after measuring and remakes at the fitter’s cost carries less risk for you.
- A supply-and-fit quote includes the blinds; a fitting-only quote doesn’t. Add what you’ll pay for the blinds before comparing the two — online vs local shop covers that trade-off.
- Gaps on the sheet are questions you haven’t asked yet. No single answer rules a fitter out; the overall pattern usually does.
